Conor Maloney

Conor Maloney represents and advises global companies and their officers and directors in high-stakes civil and criminal litigation. His practice spans white collar matters — including fraud, bribery, and tax evasion — as well as complex commercial disputes, breach of contract claims, and product liability cases. Conor has represented asset managers and portfolio companies, hospitality companies, information technology service providers, energy companies, consulting firms, and corporate executives. His experience includes cross-border investigations, litigation strategy, legal and factual development, discovery management, expert work, motion practice, and trial and arbitration preparation and presentation.

Recently, Conor served as a secondee for a global investment firm, where he managed outside counsel across high-profile litigation matters, provided strategic litigation oversight across the firm's U.S. real estate portfolio, and collaborated with internal stakeholders to drive favorable results. Other recent matters have included successfully defending a former executive in a Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) case that was ultimately dismissed; representing a national tax consulting firm in a highly publicized criminal investigation and ultimately obtaining a formal declination; defending a former CEO in a large and complex tax fraud case; defending a hospitality company against allegations of human trafficking at hotels; and defending a global energy company against thousands of product liability lawsuits.

Prior to joining Jones Day, Conor developed his litigation skills as a law clerk to Judge Gerald J. Pappert of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
