Tim Lanzendorfer represents clients in complex litigation before federal and state courts. His experience includes matters involving constitutional law, bankruptcy proceedings, election litigation, and contractual disputes.

Tim has assisted clients in many stages of litigation, from pleadings to discovery disputes to appeals before the U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeals for the Third, Fifth, and Sixth Circuits. With an emphasis on brief writing designed to bring clarity to even the most complicated legal issues, his substantive experience spans across many areas, such as claims brought under the United States Constitution, litigation surrounding election laws, disputes arising out of corporate mergers, bankruptcy appellate issues, and claims under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).

Prior to joining Jones Day, Tim served as a law clerk to Judge Eric E. Murphy of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and to Judge Douglas R. Cole of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.

Before attending law school, Tim had a successful career in Ohio politics and government for nearly a decade, which included serving as the political director for a victorious gubernatorial campaign and as the Deputy Director of Boards and Commissions in the Ohio Governor's Office. Tim also currently serves as an appointed member of the Ohio Criminal Sentencing Commission.
