Harjeet Lall advises on complex, cross-border structured finance and securitization transactions, primarily focusing on the United Kingdom, European, and U.S. markets.
She represents banks, funds, and corporate clients across private and public securitizations as well as structured financings. Her deep asset class experience covers trade receivables, auto loans and leases, residential mortgage backed and commercial real estate mortgage-backed securitizations, loan-on-loan structures, consumer credit, infrastructure loans, esoteric assets, and direct receivables purchase arrangements. These transactions typically support treasury operations, portfolio management, sponsor back-leverage, and bespoke financing solutions. Recently, her practice has expanded to advising on structured financings for large-scale energy and infrastructure projects, alongside portfolio loan repack program for major banks.
Harjeet's experience acquired prior to joining Jones Day includes advising on the public securitization of residential mortgage loan portfolios originated by a group of regulated Spanish banks, with the notes issued and listed on the regulated segment of the Irish Stock Exchange.
She also worked on matters involving loan-on-loan warehouse financing structured as a securitization of various granular portfolio loans linked to commercial properties on high street and shopping centers; a receivables financing program for a seller of oil supplier invoices; an investment into one of the world's largest automakers on an auto loans securitization program in the United Kingdom; and large cross-border trade receivables programs for originators in the food and dairy space. In addition, she has acted on risk participations involving trade finance loans.
An industry thought leader, Harjeet has written on auto loan and lease securitisations, STS (simple, transparent, and standardised) frameworks, and securitization regulations. She is also a regular speaker at Global ABS in Barcelona, the world's leading structured finance conference.
