Charlotte Lewis-Williams has almost 20 years of experience advising on complex, multijurisdictional, high-value finance matters, ranging from direct lending, private credit, and leveraged finance transactions to fund finance, infrastructure finance, and sports finance.
Charlotte has worked with international banks, credit funds, institutional and private placement investors, non-bank lenders, sponsors, and corporates across a variety of sectors.
Prior to joining Jones Day in 2026, Charlotte notably advised: a sponsor on data center financing in Europe; a hedge fund on back leverage related to European real estate assets; a UK plc on NAV (net asset value) financing arrangements; an alternative lender on NAV facilities for a U.S./UK live entertainment company; a bank lender on umbrella subscription facilities for a European credit fund; a consortium of institutional investors and the placement agent on the issuance of €424 million notes to support the reconstruction of FC Barcelona's soccer stadium, the Spotify Camp Nou; institutional investors and bank lenders on the €332 million financing package to redevelop the home of Valencia Club de Fútbol, the Nou Mestalla; institutional investors and bank lenders on the €125 million media rights financing package for Real Betis Balompié; institutional investors on long-term structured financing for Porto FC (the Portuguese professional sports club); a private credit fund on €100 million acquisition financing for a stake in PSA Italy (port operator); a private credit fund on financing for the construction of an anaerobic digestion plant; the sponsor on the recapitalization of its minority interest in a Canadian energy production company; and the bank club on bridge financing for Europe's largest generator of renewable energy.
