Marcella Kandiah has a broad commercial litigation and arbitration practice, with a focus on resolving complex contractual disputes, often involving a multijurisdictional element. She has experience in matters arising in the mining, energy, resources, and finance sectors.
Prior to joining Jones Day in 2026, Marcella's recent experience includes acting for a government-owned corporation against a global oil and gas supermajor in high-stakes international arbitration proceedings regarding a dispute under a long-term gas supply agreement, acting for a multinational mining and development company in injunction proceedings relating to a joint venture project, and acting for a multinational mining and metals company in a special case stated. Marcella also has experience representing clients in an advisory and pre-dispute capacity, assisting clients with avoiding formal legal proceedings.
