Jeff Kaplan litigates complex, high-stakes commercial and tort cases from the moment a dispute emerges through trial and appeal. He represents companies globally and brings order, strategy, and direction to challenging multijurisdictional disputes. Jeff leads coordinated defense efforts across courts and teams, and his appellate work includes merits and amicus briefing in multiple U.S. circuit courts and the United States Supreme Court.
Jeff has guided global companies through major investigations and litigation involving coatings, aerospace, performance chemicals, building products, and pharmaceuticals. He draws on his trial experience to drive discovery strategy, craft and argue pivotal motions, prepare witnesses, take and defend fact and expert depositions, and direct and cross-examine witnesses at trial. He also has managed nationwide expert teams and harmonized defense themes across mass tort and products liability actions.
Jeff's community involvement takes place at the international, national, state, and local levels. At the international level, he serves on the board of directors for the Center for Global Strategies, a nonprofit connecting leaders in emerging nations to the global economy. At the national level, he serves on the board of directors for Street Grace, a national nonprofit dedicated to eradicating child sex trafficking, and on the Federalist Society's Litigation Practice Group Executive Committee. At the state level, Jeff serves on Georgia's Statewide Human Trafficking Task Force. And at the local level, Jeff serves on the board of directors for the Atlanta Bar Association and as a Barrister in the Judge Clarence Cooper American Inn of Court.
