Lindsey Jump is a trial lawyer with experience working on 15 jury trials in high-risk cases throughout the country, including obtaining a complete defense verdict in a $20 million case. Lindsey's practice focuses on product liability, mass tort, and commercial litigation.
Lindsey has been involved in Jones Day's nationwide defense of the Engle progeny smoking and health lawsuits brought against R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. She has experience in many aspects of discovery and trial preparation, including taking expert and fact witness depositions, consulting with and preparing expert witnesses, arguing motions, and managing discovery from the date of filing onward. Lindsey also has developed experience in many other aspects of complex commercial litigation, including conducting legal research, drafting motions and response briefs, and post-trial briefing. In addition, Lindsey has supervised junior lawyers on litigation matters from the discovery stage through trial and has managed outside counsel.
In addition to her products liability work, Lindsey worked directly with a hospital client to petition the Ohio Supreme Court for a writ of prohibition, which led to a favorable outcome. She also conducted fact investigations in internal investigations and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) matters.
Lindsey maintains an active pro bono practice. She has argued motions as part of the Firm's pro bono practice, including successfully arguing for a federal immigration judge to set a low bond for a detained client. Lindsey also serves on the board for Playhouse Square Partners and has served as the co-chair of the organization.
