Evan Jones focuses on intellectual property litigation. He has represented clients in district court and before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). His litigation experience includes pre-lawsuit investigations, discovery, motion practice, and claim construction. He also has assisted clients with patent prosecution before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
Evan represents leaders in the pharmaceutical and electronics industries. He regularly utilizes his technical background in advising clients engaged in high-stakes patent disputes. Prior to joining Jones Day, he earned his Ph.D. at Harvard University, where he studied inorganic chemistry and electrocatalysis. In law school, he interned at the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
In addition to IP litigation, Evan maintains an active pro bono practice, advocating for veterans through the Firm's VetLex Initiative.
