Eli Jones focuses his practice on complex civil litigation and government enforcement actions, particularly those related to investigations initiated by state attorneys general. His litigation work in both state and federal court has spanned the entirety of the life of a lawsuit and includes experience in developing strategy, motions practice, and negotiating settlements for clients.
Eli also has extensive experience in the discovery process, which has included negotiating and responding to subpoenas and civil investigative demands (CIDs), constructing and leading teams in document review, managing and coordinating third-party discovery efforts, and serving as first and second chair in depositions. His practice has involved high-quality service for major clients across multiple industries, including retail, health, technology, energy, finance, credit reporting, and construction.
Eli's heart for service extends beyond his work for clients to the Pittsburgh community at large. He serves as a coordinator for the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania's Pro Se Pro Bono Mediation Program, which pairs pro se litigants with volunteer counsel. Eli also maintains an active pro bono practice, where he has represented incarcerated or formerly incarcerated individuals, victims of hate crimes, and victims of online extremism.
