TJ Herron is an experienced litigator who represents clients in complex commercial lawsuits and arbitrations nationwide. His tenacity, thoughtfulness, and pragmatism help clients navigate their most important legal disputes effectively and efficiently.
TJ has represented industry-leading technology, telecommunications, and transportation companies, fintech start-ups, hedge funds, and pharmaceutical and consumer goods companies, as well as their key executives, in matters involving claims for breach of contract, securities fraud, common law fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, false advertising, unfair competition, and unlawful business practices. His federal litigation background spans every appellate level, including in multiple U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeal and in the Supreme Court of the United States.
Having served as lead associate on several high-stakes cases, TJ's notable experience includes briefing and arguing dispositive motions, overseeing all aspects of discovery, negotiating with opposing counsel, and working with testimonial fact and expert witnesses in preparation for trial.
In addition, TJ has advised clients in response to investigations and enforcement actions by various U.S. government agencies, including the Department of Justice (DOJ), the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
Earlier in his career, TJ worked at a corporate risk management consultancy where he focused on transactional due diligence and anti-money laundering investigations, including as a secondee to a global New York-based investment bank.

Defended a U.S.-based cloud software company and certain executives against a securities fraud action brought by a putative class of stockholders.

Defended a multinational health care technology company and certain executives against a securities fraud action brought by a putative class of stockholders.
