Ashley Futrell Hinkson is a former Assistant United States Attorney and experienced trial lawyer who represents businesses and individuals involved in high-stakes government investigations, criminal litigation, and civil actions. Ashley's practice is focused on matters arising from alleged violations of state and federal laws, including fraud and the False Claims Act (FCA), along with board investigations and complex litigation matters.
As a federal prosecutor, Ashley investigated and prosecuted public corruption, cybercrime, extortion, financial fraud, and tax offenses. During Ashley's time as a federal prosecutor, she tried numerous cases to verdict and led multiple investigations.
Prior to joining Jones Day in 2022, Ashley was a litigator at a national law firm, where she handled commercial litigation matters and white collar defense and investigations with a focus on public corruption, financial fraud, and antitrust matters involving the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
Ashley is also a former assistant district attorney in New York City, where she prosecuted a wide range of state crimes and investigations.
