Salvador Gallo Korkowski advises private equity sponsors, companies, investors, and financial institutions on cross-border M&A and financing transactions involving Mexico and Latin America. He is admitted to practice in Mexico and New York and regularly works on matters involving both Mexican and U.S. law.
Before returning to Jones Day in 2026, where he had previously spent more than eight years, Salvador served as general counsel of a Latin American investment and operating platform. During his five years there, he worked on the company's expansion across the region, including dozens of acquisitions and divestitures in Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Peru, and equity and debt financings totaling more than US$400 million. He also advised management, investors, and boards on governance and portfolio matters.
Having spent several years as a client of outside counsel, Salvador brings a practical perspective to transactions, with particular attention to execution, risk allocation, and the decisions clients need to make before and after closing.
