Jack Graves is a patent attorney who helps clients secure domestic and foreign patent protection for their inventions. In addition to preparing and prosecuting patent applications, Jack has experience assisting clients in Patent Office proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) as well as patent-related appeals to the Federal Circuit.
Prior to attending law school and joining Jones Day, Jack practiced as a patent agent for several years. Jack has experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the following technology areas: medical imaging systems (MRI, PET, SPECT, and ultrasound), optical systems, medical treatment devices (drug-eluting stents, spinal stability implants, and intravascular oxygenators), polymers, photovoltaics, lithium-ion batteries, and semiconductors.
Jack maintains an active pro bono practice and has represented migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border through the Firm's Border Project.
