Chris Erlinger defends employers against federal and state labor and employment claims, partners with them to establish best practices and avoid lawsuits, and advises them on the labor and employment aspects of corporate transactions.
Chris defends clients against claims arising under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Railway Labor Act (RLA), the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN), and antidiscrimination laws such as Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. He has experience responding to pleadings, conducting discovery, and drafting dispositive motions.
He protects employers from lawsuits by keeping them informed of labor and employment best practices and partners with them on internal investigations to ensure compliance.
Chris has reviewed the labor and employment aspects of corporate transactions for dozens of companies. Clients appreciate his strategic approach and sensitivity to their business goals.
During law school, he worked extensively with the Innocence Project to exonerate wrongfully convicted individuals. Prior to law school, Chris was a lecturer in The Ohio State University's Department of Classics.
