Trevor Deason represents clients in complex commercial litigation in federal and state courts. His practice includes significant experience in antitrust matters, the defense of claims under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and the management of large-scale e-discovery, including data preservation, collection, review, and production.
Prior to entering private practice, Trevor served as a law clerk to Judge David S. Morales, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, for three years, and to Judge Paul W. Green of the Supreme Court of Texas for one year. These experiences provide him with a comprehensive perspective on litigation strategy at all stages of a dispute, from pre-claim evaluation through trial and appeal. He leverages this background to analyze complex factual records, collaborate with expert witnesses, and prepare motions and briefs before trial and appellate courts.
In addition to his commercial practice, Trevor maintains an active pro bono docket. He has represented clients in federal civil rights litigation under 42 U.S.C. § 1983 and has advocated for asylum seekers before U.S. immigration courts.
Trevor is also engaged in professional and community service. He serves on the boards of the Federal Bar Association (Southern District of Texas Chapter), the Houston Young Lawyers Association, and the Houston Young Lawyers Foundation, where he chairs the foundation's Adopt-an-Angel program, which delivers holiday gifts to more than 3,600 children in underserved communities. He also serves as an advisory member of the Texas Bar Journal Board of Editors Committee of the State Bar of Texas.
