Dr. Jasmin Dettmar advises financial sponsors, including private equity funds and their portfolio companies, as well as debt funds, banks, and strategic investors, on all levels of the capital structure. Jasmin's experience includes a variety of domestic and cross-border transactions, acquisition financings, and direct and syndicated debt financing deals involving new money financings and restructurings.

Jasmin has handled significant leveraged finance transactions and complex financial restructurings for private credit funds and private equity sponsors across a wide range of business sectors, with a particular focus on health care, automotive, and software. Her extensive background enables her to deliver comprehensive and commercial advice to clients, and she is regularly recognized as one of the leading banking and finance lawyers in Germany. Prior to joining Jones Day in 2026, she advised leading private credit funds, including Capital Four, Arcmont, and Barings, as well as private equity sponsors such as 3i, Astorg, Tikehau Capital, and Summa Equity. She has worked on financings involving a provider of access solutions, fire protection, and security systems across Germany; a software provider; a leading European manufacturer of smart heat meters; a family of companies providing high-quality analytical chemistry and reference materials to laboratories around the world; a provider of analytical testing services for food, feed, water, and pharmaceuticals; a health care group; a leading IT services provider in the DACH (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) region, from the financing of the investment through to its subsequent sale; a leading German commercial insurance brokerage platform; and the refinancing of a portfolio company in the automotive sector.
