Jake Duffy's practice is focused on resolving complex construction and engineering disputes concerning major infrastructure projects. Jake advises developers, international construction companies, and major Australian builders on contentious matters relating to the operation of mines and the construction of highways, commercial buildings, large residential high-rises, sewerage treatment facilities, child care centers, and hospitals.
He regularly acts for clients in disputes involving allegations of defective workmanship and design, extensions of time, latent conditions, variations, liquidated damages, and termination issues. Jake has experience resolving disputes through mediation, litigation, and expert determination, and he is adept at prosecuting and defending adjudication applications under security of payment legislation.
