Erica Duff's practice focuses on complex civil litigation and product liability defense. She has experience in many aspects of discovery and trial preparation, including conducting legal research, briefing and motions practice, and preparing documents for deposition and presentation at trial. Erica is currently involved in Jones Day's nationwide defense of the Engle progeny smoking and health lawsuits brought against R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. She has been a member of multiple trial teams in cases tried to verdict.
Erica maintains an active pro bono practice, focusing her efforts on the Firm's Constitutional Policing and Civil Justice Reform initiatives, as well as the Firm's Border Project, which provides guidance and legal representation to individuals with claims for asylum or other forms of immigration relief.
Prior to joining Jones Day, Erica served as a law clerk for Judge Joseph R. Goodwin at the Southern District of West Virginia and a legal intern in the Department of Justice's (DOJ) Civil Rights Division, Disability Rights Section.
