Ruth Brindel practices intellectual property law with a focus on high-stakes patent litigation. She has been involved in various phases of litigation, including fact investigation, discovery, motion practice, pretrial proceedings, trial preparation, and post-trial strategy. Drawing on her experience as a former educator, Ruth is adept at distilling complex scientific and technical concepts into clear, effective advocacy.
Ruth maintains a robust pro bono practice. She represents asylum seekers, habeas petitioners, and individuals seeking protection under the Convention Against Torture through the Firm's Border Project. She also partners with the Law Center for Better Housing (LCBH) to represent tenants in eviction proceedings in Cook County.
Prior to attending law school, Ruth was a member of Teach For America where she worked as a high school biology teacher and department chair in St. Louis, Missouri for three years.
