Grace Bertram focuses her practice on major resources and infrastructure disputes, commercial litigation, regulatory proceedings, and international arbitration. She represents Australian and international clients in complex, high-value disputes, including cross-border matters involving significant commercial and regulatory issues.
Grace has experience acting for major oil and gas companies in international arbitrations conducted under various institutional rules, as well as in commercial litigation before Australian state and federal courts and tribunals.
Before joining Jones Day in 2026, Grace practiced at an international law firm in Australia. Her experience during this time spans a range of significant commercial, regulatory, and arbitration disputes, including a landmark 2024 High Court of Australia decision concerning the functus officio (no further authority) doctrine and the validity of an arbitral award. She has also acted for major oil and gas companies in Supreme Court of Queensland and Federal Court proceedings, advised a state-owned operator in relation to regulatory litigation, and assisted clients in a broad range of commercial litigation and international arbitration matters.
