Zoe Albon advises clients on a range of intellectual property rights, including patents, trademarks, copyright, designs, and passing off. Her practice spans contentious and noncontentious advisory matters, with a particular focus in patent and trademark litigation.
Zoe has acted for clients in various sectors, including the tech, pharma, gaming, retail, and hospitality industries. She has experience acting in a number of high-profile and cross-border litigations, including for a luxury fashion brand in a landmark trademark and passing off dispute, the first case in which the Courts of England and Wales considered the validity of "position" trademark. She also has acted for tech companies in patent infringement claims, pharmaceutical companies in patent litigation damages inquiries, gaming companies in trademark and passing off proceedings, and an insurance company in a trademark infringement dispute.
Zoe has experience litigating in the High Court, Court of Appeal, the UK and EU Intellectual Property Offices, and the Unified Patent Court. She handles disputes from pre-action investigations and correspondence through to trial and advises on enforcement strategies, brand protection, and trademark clearance and prosecution.
