Mehdi Ait Said's practice focuses on the development, procurement, acquisition, construction, and financing of energy and infrastructure projects in France and abroad.

Mehdi advises sponsors, lenders, and private-public sector entities on energy and infrastructure transactions, including wind (onshore and offshore), solar (ground-mounted, roof-mounted, and floating), hydrogen, battery storage, and hydropower, as well as on power distribution and transmission infrastructures.

He assists clients in drafting and negotiating project documentation, including development contracts, EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) contracts, supply agreements (PPAs [power purchase agreements], including CPPAs [corporate power purchase agreements]), and operation and maintenance contracts (O&M).

Mehdi's practice also includes mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and general corporate law matters.

Prior to joining Jones Day in 2023, Mehdi gained experience working in the legal department of a renewable energy global player and in the Paris office of an international law firm. He also taught corporate law at the University of Poitiers for several years.
