Jonathan Alamir is a commercial litigator with experience in complex disputes involving equity, fraud, fiduciary duties, and insolvency law.
Jonathan's experience includes a contentious cross-border dispute involving claims for fraud and fiduciary breaches. Jonathan has litigated in domestic and foreign courts under laws of the United States, the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), the United Kingdom, and Australia.
Jonathan also maintains an active pro bono practice by which he has represented individuals seeking support in housing court. In addition, he participates in the Firm's Border Project to provide on-the-ground legal support to asylum seekers with access to the rule of law. In community matters, Jonathan serves on the board of directors at The Arora Foundation, a local nonprofit working towards improving childhood education in underserved communities.
Prior to rejoining Jones Day in 2025, Jonathan served as a law clerk for Judge Pamela Barker at the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.
