Alexandre Cheriet's practice focuses on banking and finance, with an emphasis on the regulatory and transactional aspects of over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives, repos, and securities lending transactions. He has in-depth experience in equity derivatives, including strategic acquisition, disinvestment, hedging, share buyback transactions, portage, shareholding financing, and refinancing. His experience also includes representing corporations, financial institutions, and other market participants in financial power purchase agreements (FPPAs) negotiations, renewable energy, and voluntary carbon credits trading.

As part of his practice, Alexandre also seeks to contribute to the development and improvement of industry standard transaction documentation. He participated in the drafting of the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) Global Financial Power Purchase Agreement (FPPA) Confirmation Template and was engaged by ISDA to prepare the ISDA EU Guarantee of Origin Annex. He also has advised the French Banking Association and ISDA on the drafting of collateral documentation in compliance with the European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR) requirements.
