Katie Lang acts for private equity funds, institutional investors, managers, and corporate clients. She has experience advising clients through each stage of the real estate investment cycle, including in connection with single-asset and portfolio acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures, co-investments (both majority and minority investments), and management and operational terms. Katie has advised clients across a broad range of asset classes, such as build-to-rent (BTR), multifamily, purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA), hotels, shopping centers, offices, industrial, logistics, and self-storage.
Katie's notable recent transactions include advising Goldman Sachs on the £110 million acquisition from AIG of two student accommodation properties in Bournemouth and Cardiff, with a total of 907 student beds. She has also recently advised Crosstree Real Estate Partners on the acquisition of a portfolio of 11 multi-let industrial assets located across the United Kingdom from BlackRock (on behalf of British Airways Pension Fund) for c.£400 million and its go-forward joint venture and co-investment arrangements and on the acquisition of the strategic land business Barwood Land and the acquisition of a site at Tottenham Hale, London to develop a purpose-built student accommodation scheme with a gross development value of £150 million. Other clients that Katie has acted for include Greystar, Goodstone Living, CBRE, Delancey, and Get Living.
In addition, Katie undertook secondments in Goldman Sachs' real estate asset management division and at Greystar.
