Exerçant au sein du département propriété intellectuelle depuis plusieurs années, Philippe Marchiset intervient tant en contentieux qu’en conseil. Il accompagne des entreprises françaises et internationales dans leurs problématiques de droit des marques, droit d'auteur, brevets, appellations d’origine, noms de domaine, nouvelles technologies et données personnelles.

Philippe Marchiset est très impliqué dans le cadre de plusieurs contentieux en contrefaçon de marques dans le domaine de l’industrie textile, et ce en vue d’obtenir la réparation et la cessation de faits de contrefaçon après la saisie de masses importantes de marchandises contrefaisantes. Il participe activement à la protection et à la valorisation des appellations géographiques et indications géographiques dans le domaine vitivinicole, des spiritueux et des produits agricoles ainsi que des denrées alimentaires et assiste de nombreux producteurs, négociants, interprofessions et autres organismes dans le cadre de dossiers relatifs à la loi Evin. Il conseille également des intervenants sur la protection de leurs droits sur Internet (cybersquatting, dénigrement, parasitisme) et intervient dans le cadre de la réalisation d’audits et d’opérations d’introduction en bourse de jeunes sociétés innovantes. Différents dossiers l'ont également conduit à acquérir une expérience significative dans le domaine de la protection et de l'usage des noms patronymiques.

Philippe Marchiset a exercé plusieurs responsabilités associatives au sein de l’Association des élèves et diplômés Juristes de Sciences Po (AJSP) et de l’Association de Propriété Intellectuelle à Sciences Po (Sciences PI).

Il enseigne également le droit de la culture et de la propriété intellectuelle au sein du master 2 "Conception et direction de projets culturels" de l'Université Paris III - Sorbonne Nouvelle.
