Daniel Low focuses his practice on private equity fund formation and alternative investment transactions. He advises sponsors on the formation and operation of private investment funds. Daniel has worked with sponsors on funds with commitments ranging from less than US$100 million to more than US$2 billion, and his experience includes advising on securities law and regulatory matters relating to private funds.
Before joining Jones Day in 2026, Daniel was an associate in the asset management group of an international law firm in New York City, where he represented publicly traded and privately held sponsors in connection with private fund formation, including commingled funds, co-investment structures, and funds-of-one, with investments from institutional investors, sovereign wealth funds, pension plans, asset managers, and high-net-worth individuals. He also has broad experience in investment transactions, including private M&A, seed-and-stake transactions, co-investment syndications, and negotiated investment team spin-outs.
