Alessandra Leonardi de Azevedo Souza has experience representing clients in domestic and cross-border M&A transactions. She has advised Brazilian and international companies on acquisitions, divestments, mergers, corporate restructurings, equity investments, strategic alliances, and joint ventures. Her practice also includes governance, compliance, and corporate law matters.
Alessandra has represented local and international clients on diverse and complex transactions in various industries for more than 16 years, notably in the agrobusiness, manufacturing, health care, food, and technology sectors.
She has been recognized several times for her work in the sugar and alcohol industry by The Analysis Advocacy 500, the legal market's largest survey of Brazilian law firms and lawyers.
Alessandra also worked for two years as a senior legal and compliance manager for a dual-listed (Brazil and New York) company, where she gained invaluable insights into corporate operations and strategy. In addition, she served as an elected member of the company's Ethics Committee.
