David Ferrell advises Australian and international clients on complex commercial disputes, including class actions, regulatory proceedings, insolvency and restructuring, and state and federal constitutional and public law matters.
David has acted for leading financial institutions, pharmaceutical companies, and energy and mining companies in high-stakes litigation, restructuring, and regulatory matters. His experience spans multiple jurisdictions, including the High Court of Australia, the Federal Court of Australia, superior state courts, and the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Courts.
David's recent work includes acting in globally significant test cases brought by the Commonwealth government against pharmaceutical companies and defending a class action for a global motor vehicle manufacturer.
David received the Leslie Zines Constitutional Law Scholarship (2022) at the Australian National University and worked as a law clerk with the Office of General Counsel at the Australian Government Solicitor for one year (2023) while completing his undergraduate studies. David worked as tipstaff at the New South Wales Court of Appeal (2025).
