Paul Melot de Beauregard advises clients in all areas of national and international labor and employment law, in matters of corporate compliance, and in complex legal controversies and litigation. In addition, he advises on corporate agreements as well as on employment, service, and participation agreements with board members, managing directors, and senior managers. His vast experience includes advising leading international groups, family-owned companies, and financial investors in a broad range of industries.
Paul also regularly advises on matters relating to the obligations and liability of supervisory boards, C-level and managing directors, as well as any type of board-level matters. He has many years of experience in shareholder, separation, and liability matters (both inside and outside the courtroom); the implementation of compensation and benefit systems, including company pension schemes, arbitration and negotiations on HR-related issues, supporting HR departments in matters with government agencies, and tax and social security matters; and advising on secondments and international human resources projects, including the sharing of personal data throughout groups, compliance with international labor standards/human rights in the supply chain, and other ESG (environmental, social, and governance) aspects.
Paul is a member of the board of pro bono Deutschland e.V., the platform "Industrie 4.0," and the advisory board of the leading German journal for law and economics, Der Betrieb. He is also an honorary professor at FernUniversität Hagen and the author of numerous publications, including the Handbook of Manager Liability, published by Beck-Verlag. Paul regularly gives presentations and lectures in Germany and abroad.
