Spécialisé dans les opérations de private equity, Adrien Descoutures intervient plus particulièrement dans les opérations de LBO mid-cap et large cap. Il assiste par ailleurs régulièrement de grandes entreprises dans leurs opérations impliquant des acteurs du private equity (carve-outs, joint-ventures ou litiges relatifs aux pactes d’actionnaires). Sa pratique couvre également les opérations de fusions-acquisitions de sociétés non cotées, notamment les opérations de cessions, d'acquisitions ou d'alliances stratégiques, ainsi que le droit des sociétés et le droit des contrats.

Avant de rejoindre Jones Day en 2020, Adrien Descoutures a exercé au sein de grands cabinets internationaux à Paris et Londres où il a conseillé plusieurs entreprises et fonds d’investissement en ce inclus : Blackstone pour les acquisitions du groupe Joa (un groupe français de casinos) et du groupe Stow (un acteur important dans le développement et la fabrication de systèmes de rayonnages) ; Cinven pour l’acquisition du groupe INSEEC. U (une plateforme d’enseignement supérieur pluridisciplinaire française) ; Warburg Pincus pour l’acquisition du groupe Accelya (un acteur important dans la fourniture de solutions et services pour les industries du transport et du voyage) ; Apax Partners pour l’acquisition de Cabovisao (un câblo-opérateur portugais de télécommunication).

Par ailleurs, Adrien Descoutures a conseillé HSBC dans le cadre de transferts de plusieurs de ses succursales et filiales européennes afin de préparer le Brexit ; certains créanciers du groupe IKKS pour l’acquisition du groupe IKKS par les créanciers du groupe IKKS et la restructuration du capital et de la dette du groupe dans le cadre d’une restructuration extrajudiciaire et d’une sauvegarde financière accélérée ; et Carlyle et CVC pour l’acquisition par Neptune des activités d’extraction et de production de pétrole et de gaz d’Engie.
