Rocky Cheung's practice focuses on corporate finance transactions such as initial public offerings (IPOs), merger and acquisitions, and placings. He has extensive experience in providing legal advice to high-tech companies and A-share listed companies in relation to listings on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX), post-IPO transactions, and ongoing corporate compliance.
Rocky's experience with HKEX listings includes advising the sponsors and issuers on the listings of high-tech companies (including listings under the requirements of Chapter 18C Specialist Technology Companies), the business sectors of which cover robotics, semiconductors, artificial intelligence, and transportation technology.
Prior to joining Jones Day in 2026, Rocky advised the sponsors and underwriters on the listing of Shenzhen DOBOT, the first 18C H-share company, and the listing of Beijing SinoHytec, the first A+H share hydrogen energy technology company. He also advised numerous listed issuers, including UBTECH Robotics, the first humanoid robot company listed on the HKEX, on their placings and ongoing compliance matters.
