Cyril Cotterall advises sponsors and lenders in structuring, developing, and financing major energy and infrastructure projects located in the Middle East, Africa, Central Asia, and Europe.
Cyril's practice focuses on all aspects of energy and energy transition, including transactions and regulatory aspects. It encompasses mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, project development and construction, and project finance. Cyril has experience across a very broad range of energy transactions, including oil and gas, hydrogen, solar, wind (onshore and offshore), hydropower, nuclear, battery storage, as well as energy transportation infrastructure (export cables and pipelines), and conventional transportation infrastructure including roads, airports, ports, and railways.
Prior to joining Jones Day in 2023, Cyril trained and practiced in the London, Paris, and Melbourne offices of an international law firm.
