Jessica Shechtman advises public and private companies on mergers and acquisitions and other strategic transactions. Her experience includes domestic and cross-border transactions in a variety of industries, including consumer products, manufacturing, health care, and software and technology. She also has experience counseling clients on corporate governance matters, commercial matters, and shareholder engagement and activism.
Jessica's recent experience includes advising Verint Systems in its $2 billion take private by Thoma Bravo; Payward, Inc. in its $600 million acquisition of Reap Technologies, a stablecoin-native payments infrastructure company; and Wabtec Corporation in its $960 million acquisition of Dellner Couplers, a global leader in safety-critical train connection systems for passenger rail.
Jessica was also a member of the teams that advised Napster Corporation in its $500 million acquisition of Touchcast, Inc. and Georgia-Pacific in connection with its $1 billion Rule 144A and Regulation S senior notes offering. Other clients for whom Jessica has acted include Procter & Gamble, Signature Aviation, and Verizon.
Jessica has worked pro bono for Her Justice and KIND (Kids in Need of Defense) on matters including custody and family court proceedings, uncontested divorce, and immigration-related matters.
Jessica is author of "No Bullying Allowed Here: Adopting a Misuse Doctrine to Defeat Trademark Bullies," Cardozo Law Review (Volume 45, Issue 2, December 2023).
