Brian Grady represents public and private companies in complex domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and corporate restructurings. He brings extensive experience across the industrials, manufacturing, technology, building products, and life sciences sectors, advising clients on high-stakes transactions and helping them navigate deal complexities with practical, business-minded counsel. Brian takes a hands-on approach to every engagement, working closely with clients to develop tailored strategies that address both immediate transaction needs and long-term business objectives.
Brian's recent representative experience includes advising TriMas in the $1.45 billion sale of its Aerospace business; Hexagon AB in the €2.7 billion sale of its Design & Engineering business to Cadence Design Systems; STERIS in the $787.5 million sale of its Dental business to Peak Rock Capital and in its $3.6 billion acquisition of Cantel Medical; Avient Corporation in the $1.485 billion acquisition of DSM's protective materials business and in the $950 million sale of its Distribution business; EssilorLuxottica in the formation of its SightGlass Vision joint venture with CooperCompanies; TopBuild Corp. in its acquisition of American Building Systems Group; and Materion Corporation in its $160 million acquisition of Optics Balzers, AG.
Brian maintains an active pro bono practice, counseling Ohio nonprofit organizations regarding tax-exempt status and corporate governance issues, serves on the board of directors of Cleveland Play House, and previously served on the board of directors of the Downtown Cleveland Alliance.
