Sutter Health defends against uninsured claims class action

Jones Day was retained to defend Sutter Health, a not-for-profit health care system, in a California coordinated putative class action challenging hospital pricing to uninsured patients and hospital collection practices. Jones Day was successful in having companion federal suits challenging Sutter's tax-exempt status dismissed.
