Landon Kane represents clients in complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts.
Landon also advises clients on cybersecurity and privacy matters, helping clients manage risk in day-to-day operations and regulatory compliance. His practice spans U.S. state and federal privacy frameworks, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and Texas's telemarketing statute, the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA), the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Act, and key requirements under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). He has prepared incident response plans, privacy policies, and GDPR transfer impact assessments (TIAs).
Landon maintains an active pro bono practice, working on matters ranging from animal welfare to immigration.
Prior to attending law school, Landon worked in education. He was a college and career counselor for high school students in Alabama and then worked in the compliance sector for a university in Maryland.
