Jones Day Washington holds Pro Bono Fair

In honor of National Pro Bono week, and in the spirit of welcoming our new associates, Laura Tuell Parcher hosted the first Pro Bono Fair on Friday evening, October 29 in the Atrium. This event provided Jones Day attorneys the opportunity to discover the variety of pro bono work that is undertaken in the Washington office. Several tables were positioned around the Atrium and featured information about the organizations with which Jones Day partners, such as Room to Read, Washington Legal Clinic for the Homeless, Children's Law Center, and Whitman Walker. Several representatives from these organizations welcomed the chance to discuss their work and answer questions. Familiar faces, including Kris Garcia, Alex Mihalcik and Hilary Ramsey who helped man the Children's Law Center table, Tom Henry and Jeff McSorley at the Affordable Housing table, Fahad Habib and Juliet Karastelev at the International Pro Bono table, and Chris Farrell and Owen Conroy at the Legal Clinics table shared insights regarding their pro bono experiences.
