Jones Day U.S. offices welcome rising 2Ls to apply for 2L summer positions in the 2027 Summer Associate Program.
- Immersion: Work side-by-side with Jones Day lawyers on real assignments.
- Mentorship & Training: Each summer associate is assigned an associate and partner mentor and can expect to receive extensive substantive training, including a two-day nationwide orientation program in Washington, DC.
- Assignment Flexibility: Gain exposure to a variety of assignments, focusing on the practice areas in which you express an interest, including pro bono.
- Community & Events: You will have the opportunity to get to know the Firm and its lawyers through a variety of organized social events.
- Interviews & Offers: Timing of interviews will vary by office. Offer decisions will be made after spring grades are available.
- Compensation: Summer Associate salary is annualized at $225,000 across all U.S. offices. Compensation for 2Ls in our 2027 Summer Associate Program will also include an additional $2,500 per week during the 10-week summer program (totaling an additional $25,000 after ten weeks).
- Application Limit: Please apply to no more than three Jones Day offices.
