Bijan Tavakoli berät im Öffentlichen Wirtschaftsrecht mit Schwerpunkt auf streitigen Verfahren und regulatorischen Auseinandersetzungen. Er vertritt Mandanten in Verfahren vor dem Gerichtshof der Europäischen Union (EuGH) und dem Gericht der Europäischen Union (EuG), vor deutschen Zivil- und Verwaltungsgerichten aller Instanzen sowie gegenüber deutschen, europäischen und internationalen Behörden und Institutionen, darunter die Europäische Kommission, die EZB, Bundes- und Landesbehörden.

Seit mehr als einem Jahrzehnt berät Bijan Tavakoli in komplexen Mandaten an der Schnittstelle von Unions-, Verfassungs- und Verwaltungsrecht, vielfach in grenzüberschreitenden und unternehmenskritischen Sachverhalten für multinationale Unternehmen und regulierte Industrien. Er verfügt über besondere Erfahrung im Umgang mit behördlichen Maßnahmen sowie bei der gerichtlichen Anfechtung regulatorischer Entscheidungen. Zudem berät er zu öffentlich-rechtlichen Aspekten von M&A-Transaktionen und zu strategischen Compliance-Projekten.

Seine Beratung umfasst darüber hinaus das Umwelt- und Planungsrecht, das Vergaberecht, das Genehmigungs- und Anlagenzulassungsrecht, ESG und Lieferketten-Compliance sowie das Luftfahrtrecht, Telekommunikationsrecht, die Energie- und Infrastrukturregulierung, das Sanktions- und Exportkontrollrecht. Er ist erfahren in Mandaten mit Bezug zu Industrieanlagen, PFAS- und sonstigen Kontaminationssachverhalten, einschließlich Krisenreaktion und Strategien zur regulatorischen Risikominimierung.

Vor seiner Rückkehr in die anwaltliche Praxis war Bijan Tavakoli als Associate Legal Officer im Sekretariat der Vereinten Nationen in New York tätig. Zudem war er Research Fellow am Max-Planck-Institut für ausländisches öffentliches Recht und Völkerrecht und absolvierte Stationen unter anderem beim Landgericht Frankfurt am Main und im Auswärtigen Amt.
