Lamberto Schiona is a litigator and trial lawyer with more than 20 years of extensive experience. He has handled high-stakes, complex civil, commercial, and administrative disputes, including major class actions, before Italian courts, including the Supreme Court and the Administrative High Court, as well as before arbitral tribunals and as a panelist.
Lamberto has litigated cases ranging from antitrust and competition (both public and private enforcement) to IP (particularly in the art and fashion industry), commercial contracts, corporate (including post-closing purchase price disputes, working capital adjustments, business performance, and earn-out disputes), insolvency, banking & finance (including international bank and other guarantees disputes), insurance, construction, and tort claims. He has been praised for his skill on appealing fines issued by the Italian Surveillance Authorities (AGCM, IVASS, and Banca d'Italia, in charge of supervising the antitrust, insurance, and banking industry sectors respectively) and for his deep knowledge of administrative trial techniques along with his substantial experience in many industry sectors. In addition to regularly litigating cases to judgment, Lamberto's practice includes claim preventions, post-claim strategies, and ADRs.
Lamberto has taught commercial law classes at several law schools, both in Italy and abroad. He is a regular speaker at conventions and seminars and has authored a number of papers on economics, commercial, and insurance law.
