Rita Rochford represents clients in a variety of transactions in the financial services sector. She has experience with payment network and card brand regulations, complex fintech projects, and negotiating master services agreements, terms of conditions, and other third-party agreements with respect to payment processing. Rita also has experience reviewing and drafting legal terms and conditions regarding the processing of personal data, privacy policies for consumers using mobile applications, and master services agreements.
In addition, Rita represents financial lending institutions in secured real estate lending transactions and unsecured lines of credit for real estate investment trusts (REITs). She has assisted lenders in negotiating and documenting large office and multiuse projects, shopping centers, hotels, and other commercial properties.
Prior to attending law school, Rita served as a corps member for Teach For America, where she taught elementary school in Kansas City, Missouri. Rita is currently a member of the Governance Board for America SCORES Cleveland, which provides afterschool programming to poet-athletes in the Greater Cleveland area.
