Kristina Music

Kristina Music's practice focuses on German and EU antitrust and competition law, with particular experience in abuse of dominance investigations, cross-border merger control, foreign direct investment (FDI), foreign subsidies, and State aid matters.

Kristina has extensive experience in a broad range of antitrust issues, including abuse of dominance and cartel investigations, as well as international compliance matters. She also regularly advises clients on cross-border merger control and FDI proceedings.

A particular focus of Kristina's experience is the EU Foreign Subsidies Regulation (FSR). She guides clients from the initial set-up of data collection through the preparation of FSR notifications and throughout the European Commission's review process, both in the context of public procurement and in relation to mergers. Kristina also advises on EU State aid matters, including civil litigation before German courts and proceedings before the EU courts in Luxembourg.

The clients Kristina serves include international companies in the IT/digital, energy, transportation, basic industries, consumer goods, and health care sectors.

Prior to joining Jones Day, Kristina worked in the Hamburg and Brussels offices of an international law firm and at the Federal Cartel Office (Bundeskartellamt) in Bonn, Germany.

Kristina is a member of the German Antitrust Lawyers Association (Studienvereinigung Kartellrecht e.V.) and the German Foreign Investment Association (Forum Investitionsprüfung e.V.).
