Timothy Hebbard

Timothy Hebbard's practice is centered on commercial litigation and international arbitration, with a strong focus on the energy and resources sector and a particular emphasis on upstream LNG (liquefied natural gas) industry clients.

Timothy acts for major oil and gas companies and other market leading clients in high-value, cross-border arbitrations, both ad hoc and under various institutional rules, as well as in commercial litigation and appeals across the Australian state and federal courts and tribunals. His practice spans matters seated in Australia and Southeast Asia, extending across each stage of the dispute life cycle, from the preparation of pleadings and submissions, the coordination of expert and documentary evidence, through to the hearing, determination, and settlement of matters, including the recovery of costs.

Timothy also teaches courses on contract law, comparative legal method, and international sales law at the University of Western Australia Law School. He has published several pieces on international sales law and visual contracting, including his J.D. thesis in the Routledge Handbook on Transnational Commercial Law.
