Herr Dr. Gromotke ist vornehmlich auf deutsches und europäisches Kartellrecht spezialisiert und leitet die kartellrechtliche Praxis von Jones Day in Deutschland. Durch Stationen bei dem Bundeskartellamt, dem Kartellsenat des Kammergerichts und seine Tätigkeit als wissenschaftlicher Assistent am Zentrum für deutsches und internationales Kartellrecht und Institut für Energierecht der FU Berlin hat Herr Dr. Gromotke sein Augenmerk schon frühzeitig dem Kartellrecht gewidmet. Während seiner mehr als 20-jährigen Berufserfahrung hat er zahlreiche Unternehmen in Fusionskontroll-, Missbrauchs- und sonstigen Verfahren insbesondere vor dem Bundeskartellamt und der Europäischen Kommission betreut. Seine Praxis erstreckt sich aber auch auf die Koordinierung internationaler Zusammenschlussverfahren vor ausländischen Kartellbehörden und die forensische Tätigkeit mit kartellrechtlichem Bezug. Darüber hinaus verfügt Herr Dr. Gromotke über spezielle Erfahrung bei der Ausarbeitung kartellrechtlicher Compliance-Programme und der Verteidigung von Unternehmen im Rahmen weltweiter kartellbehördlicher Ermittlungen und Bußgeldverfahren.

Zu den Mandanten, die Herr Dr. Gromotke in jüngster Zeit in kartellrechtlichen Angelegenheiten vertreten hat, zählen z. B. Abbott Laboratories, Bayer, Boehringer Ingelheim, Kali + Salz, Koelnmesse, La Poste Française, die österreichische RHI-Gruppe, Sanofi-Aventis und TotalFinaElf.

Herr Dr. Gromotke spricht fließend Deutsch, Englisch und Französisch und verfügt über gute Kenntnisse der tschechischen und slowakischen Sprache. Er ist durch zahlreiche Veröffentlichungen und Fachvorträge hervorgetreten und ist Mitglied der Studienvereinigung Kartellrecht e.V., der International Bar Association (Section on Business Law — Committee C / Antitrust & Trade Law) und der American Bar Association (Section of Antitrust Law & Section of International Law and Practice).
