Banks Griffin joined our New Lawyers Group (NLG) in 2024. The NLG provides our newest lawyers with the opportunity to gain exposure to different practice areas and lawyering styles before making a commitment to a specific practice. Individuals in the NLG may focus on a particular area of practice, or compare practices, during their first year with Jones Day. Banks's primary practice focus is intellectual property, specifically in the areas of patent litigation, trade secret litigation, and patent prosecution of electrical technologies.
Before law school, Banks acquired six years of experience as an electrical controls and process engineer, where he provided custom manufacturing solutions to companies in a multitude of industries, including automotive, textiles, and food processing. During law school, he was a teaching assistant for Wake Forest's constitutional law course.
