Mike Fischer represents companies and individual clients in investigations by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Department of Justice (DOJ), and other federal agencies. He has experience defending individuals and corporations in government and criminal investigations involving fraud, insider trading, corruption, racketeering, international sanctions violations, and potential violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA).

While attending law school, Mike served as a legislative aide to U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito. During his tenure on Capitol Hill, Mike covered a variety of policy issues and was the senator's primary staff contact for legislation and judicial nominations before the Senate Committee on the Judiciary. Prior to law school, Mike served as special assistant to the West Virginia Attorney General.

Mike maintains an active pro bono practice representing refugees seeking asylum in the United States.
