Nicholas Evans focuses his practice on resolving disputes involving major construction and infrastructure projects.
Nicholas has experience representing owners, contractors, and subcontractors in international arbitrations seated in multiple jurisdictions subject to common and civil laws, as well as in litigation, adjudication, and dispute review board proceedings. He also has experience advising on resolving disputes prior to the commencement of formal proceedings.
Nicholas has worked on a range of projects including oil and gas, offshore and marine, road and tunnel infrastructure, real estate, decommissioning, and renewable energy across Australia, Asia, Europe, and the United Kingdom.
Nicholas's recent experience includes acting for a European marine and offshore contractor in relation to Singapore International Commercial Court (SIAC) proceedings arising out of distressed shipbuilding contracts; an Australian contractor in an Australian Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (ACICA) arbitration regarding a road tunnel project in New South Wales; and an international contractor in claims arising out of a major renewable power project.
