Brendan Barber represents clients in regulatory enforcement, government investigations, and white collar defense matters.
Prior to joining Jones Day in 2026, Brendan served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of California, where he prosecuted a broad range of felony federal cases involving narcotics trafficking, human smuggling, and national security-related crimes. Brendan also served as a Judge Advocate in the United States Marine Corps, where he advised on and litigated administrative and criminal matters.
Brendan serves on the board of directors of the Barber National Institute, a nonprofit that provides comprehensive services to more than 6,000 children and adults with autism, intellectual disabilities, and behavioral health challenges, as well as support for their families.
