Jason Z.Zhou

Jason Zhou represents and counsels clients in a range of complex litigation matters, including internal investigations, government enforcement proceedings, consumer class actions, and high-stakes, multidistrict litigation. He has stand up trial experience that includes conducting direct and cross-examinations of witnesses, delivering opening statements and closing arguments, and arguing motions for directed verdict. In addition to his trial work, Jason has experience in all other aspects of litigation, including serving as the primary drafter of dispositive motions and appellate briefs, working with experts and forensic litigation consultants, leading document review teams, and taking and defending depositions.

Jason's recent experience includes representing Experian, one of the three national credit reporting agencies in the United States, as lead national counsel in more than 70 cases brought in state and federal courts across the country. Jason also represents Experian in consumer class actions, including a data privacy lawsuit in which he successfully briefed a post-discovery motion to dismiss for lack of Article III standing as well as Experian's response to plaintiffs' Seventh Circuit appeal from the same. Jason's other recent work includes representing a national pharmacy in nationwide litigation relating to opioid dispensing and distribution practices.

Jason maintains an active pro bono practice. He recently served as class counsel in an Illinois state class action in which he helped negotiate a settlement providing relief for tens of thousands of Illinois families. He also has helped obtain asylum for a number of asylum-seekers fleeing violence and persecution in their home countries.
